Petition signed by 21 students enrolled in a religion course was submitted to UTM administrators last week in protest of the course's instructor being relieved of classroom duties.

QSS says ‘yes’ to Athletics centre funding motion
The Quality Service to Students (QSS) passed a motion last Thursday for a revised funding structure for UTM's planned Athletics, Recreation, and Wellness Centre.

UTMAC by-election will replace Chugh
Former UTM Athletics Council (UTMAC) President Rishi Chugh confirmed that he "has no plans" to return to his former position. The post is currently filled by Huda Mohammed, who will assume the role as Interim President until a by-election, tentatively planned for just before reading week next year, can be held.

Buy Nothing Day challenges consumerism this Friday
So it’s that time of year again: crisp bills shoot out of ATM machines; credit cards pulsate in sweaty palms; cash registers ring, jingle and beep.

Happy Holidaze?
The day after Halloween two things happened. Prices of candy were reduced to 50 percent and Christmas decorations went up. At one time, Christmas used to be the sole reason for a holiday season.

 

Residence masquerade
Residence students donned masks and fancy attire for the Wickham's Mansion masquerade party last Friday. Event organizer, Residence Don Kenny Chan, described the evening.

Lady Eagles in second place
The second match-up between UTM’s Lady Eagles hockey team and UTSC took place on Nov. 14. The first match saw UTSC dominate UTM. However, the Lady Eagles came prepared to play.
