Partiers pack first
pub
The tradition of organized chaos that is
first pub continued its legacy last Thursday at the Blind Duck.
When the pub doors opened at 9 p.m., a
line-up stretched halfway around the student centre with those
first in line waiting since 8 p.m. |
Study
space lacking on campus |
In a year
plagued by the phrase 'double cohort,' colleges and universities
across Canada have been struggling to find housing, classrooms,
and instructors to accommodate the influx of new students.
UTM is no exception. |
New Prof to visit

Ph.D
candidate and author Jasmin Zine is to teach a special
course with the topic Gender in Islam, starting in January,
part of the enhanced Womens/Gender Studies program
at UTM. |

honours best of 2002-03 |
Due to a wild ice storm,
the Athletics banquet had to be postponed last year for
a few weeks. The unexpected weather did not put a damper
on the festivities when the event finally
took place on April 17. |

Big
plans for UTMs new library |
To meet the growing needs
at UTM, a $34 million Academic Centre/Library
project is in the works to open before Sept. 2006.
The four-floor facility will be built adjacent to the
new Communication, Culture and Information Technology
(CCIT) building. |
